Maurizio Cattelan, the Paduan artist known for his irreverent irony and provocative works, has revolutionized the concept of contemporary art. From his sculpture of Pope John Paul II struck by a meteorite to a solid gold toilet, his creations challenge conventions and pose uncomfortable questions. With works such as "Comedian," a banana stuck to the wall, Cattelan invites us to reflect on the value of art and its meaning in the modern world. Discover how this irreverent genius conquered the international art scene and made a name for himself in unexpected ways.

The flight
A swallow to evoke a concept of openness and sharing.

WordBubbles
The words bubbles are part of a moment in my life. I realize that sometimes a word, a feeling, or an emotion cannot be defined. I also call them sculptures of memories.
no-fly zone
One of my most frequent dreams is me trying to fly. I can never get off the ground as high as I would like to, and no matter how hard I try, I always remain on the ground. I interpreted this as a fear of never being able to feel free, free in who I am and what I do. Free from any kind of limitation or worry.
