Description
The "MIT contemporaneo" initiative was created with the dual purpose of promoting Italian contemporary art and opening the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to the public. Through the discovery of the contemporary art collection, located in various rooms of the building, elements of particular historical, artistic, and architectural interest relating to the institutional headquarters will also be illustrated. The contemporary art collection comprises 36 works, entrusted to the Ministry on a free loan basis or donated. The variety of artistic techniques and subjects represented enriches the character of the collection, which boasts works by masters of recognized value, such as Michelangelo Pistoletto, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Emilio Isgrò, Guido Strazza, Pietro Ruffo, Loris Cecchini, Davide Rivalta, Luca Pignatelli, Maurizio Galimberti, Paolo Delle Monache, Grazia Varisco, Chiara Dynys, Giovanni Frangi, Massimo Listri, Giulia Napoleone, Alessandro Papetti, and Paola Pezzi.
The collaboration with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport is the resultof Aperti per Voi's twenty years of experience incontinuouslywelcomingvisitorstoart sites that are otherwise inaccessible to the public or open with limited hours.
