KOOLKOOR

Kool Koor (Charles William Hargrove Jr.), born in the Bronx in 1963, is one of the most influential figures on the international urban scene and a pioneer of street art since the 1970s. He grew up artistically on the New York subway cars and exhibited at the historic Fashion Moda Gallery at a very young age. His style, known as Futuristic Symbolism, combines visionary architecture, stylized calligraphy, and galactic atmospheres, creating works with a profound and complex visual impact. A collaborator with icons such as Basquiat and Keith Haring, Kool Koor exhibits in the most prestigious international museums. His notable works include permanent installations in Brussels, Louvain-la-Neuve, Milan, and Marseille, establishing him as a global reference point in the dialogue between graffiti and contemporary art.
