Galleria di Milano is looking for an Art Handler to join its operational team.
Required skills and activities:
– Handling and packaging of works of art (paintings, photographs, sculptures);
– Support in setting up/dismantling exhibitions/fairs throughout the year;
– Organization and management of warehouses;
– Preparation and care of exhibition spaces;
– Support for the gallery's logistics department during exhibitions, fairs, and events;
– Safe loading/unloading and management of works;
– Collaboration with gallery staff and external suppliers;
– Support for installations and interventions at private residences;
– Drafting of condition reports for works entering and leaving the gallery.
Required profile
Requirements:
– Basic knowledge of handling, packaging, and storage practices;
– Proficiency in the use of basic computer programs for archiving support;
– Knowledge and experience of the main artistic techniques;
– Accuracy, reliability, and aptitude for teamwork;
– Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional travel;
– Driver's license;
– Possible knowledge of specific equipment (e.g., carpentry and joinery).
Required experience
Experience, even minimal, as an art handler, installation technician, or similar role.
