A visual designer whose creativity knows no bounds. Alessandro Pongan (La Spezia, 1963) transforms ideas into memorable experiences with a clear, confident, and cinematic approach. His signature is the strength of the project, a legacy of his studies with legendary masters.
Global Perspective
His unique vision stems from an international background. Raised between Italy and Brazil, he absorbed a joyful and open perspective that permeates all his work. This global mindset has been enriched by high-profile professional experiences, such as art direction and set design for national television in Athens.
The Power of the Concept
At the Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Pongan studied with masters who have left their mark on the history of design. Among them was Bruno Munari, who liked to remind his students that "art should not be alien to the problems of life."
This principle became the driving force behind his studio, Officina Design, founded in Milan in 1988: starting from a powerful idea to give shape to effective and surprising visual solutions.
Iconic Projects of Excellence
From automotive catwalks to the world stage He has shaped the visual narrative of some of the world's most desirable brands, designing the stage concepts for product launches for Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, and Maserati.
Ephemeral architecture with an international scope His vision has been expressed on global stages such as international expos, curating the New Holland-Fiat pavilion at Expo Milano 2015 and designing the concept for the Azerbaijan pavilion at Expo 2020.
Between digital art and humanistic design His research extends to audiovisual language, directing television commercials for design icons such as Alessi and experimenting with the most advanced 3D techniques. But technology is combined with empathy in projects such as "The World of Glass, " the interactive section for children at the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft (Denmark).
